About Us

VBF-83 is an Aces High WW2 Combat Flight Simulator Squadron.  We are dedicated to the strength and welfare of the Rooks Team and pride ourselves with the skill of specializing in the Vought F4U-1D Corsair.  From ground strikes to bomber escorts, strategic bombing missions and fighter patrol roles, all the way down to ground vehicle operations VBF-83 Rampagers does it all. 

Training Program

Our training program is somewhat refined but more of a "Trial by Fire" or OJT type training.  We start out in the Training Arena getting used to the handling of the aircraft with out limited ability.  Then you move into the basic maneuvers of stall fighting against an Aggressor aircraft/the instructor.  After the student feels comfortable with the handling of the aircraft we start dive bombing/ground strike training to effectively learn about Energy Management and how to bring down buildings or enemy resources.
